Auditions are open to all dancers ages 6 and older who have a passion for ballet and performing. To participate in The Nutcracker, dancers must be 6 years old by October 1, 2026 and enrolled in a ballet class at East County Performing Arts Center for the 2026–2027 season. Ballet training is required to ensure all performers are prepared for the choreography and rehearsal process.

Nutcracker auditions will take place August 29, for dancers ages 6 and up taking at least one ballet class a week at any studio.

9:00AM- 10:00AM Building Ballet (Beginner ballet students)

10:15AM- 11:15AM Ballet Level 1 (2 plus years of ballet)

11:30AM- 12:30PM Ballet Level 2 (3 plus years of ballet)

1:00PM- 2:30PM Ballet Level 3-6 (5 plus years of ballet)

2:30PM- 3:00PM Call backs and Teen boys (Actors) who are interested in being in a non- dancing role

Dress rehearsal and show dates:

December 17-20
